Registration

Go to "Place Free Ad", Select "Create an account", and complete the simple registration form. You will then be emailed a link. Click on the link, and complete your registration process. You will then be able to upload your properties to TheBigLet.com.

Login using your user name and password.

There is an "Agent menu" on the right. This allows you to create a profile for yourself, add propeties, manage and view your properties at any time. 

Placing a free ad.

Select "Add property" under the "Agent menu" on the right hand side, and complete the add property form.

There are 3 tabs at the top of this form, "Properties", "Extra fields", and "Publishing". Please complete as much of the information as possible. This will help users to find your property, however they choose to conduct a search. 

Everything on this form, excluding the "notes" will appear in your advertisement. therefore, make sure you do not put the full address (i.e. Flat 1 Crown Court) in your adverisement.  

Please ensure you fill in all the field as people may search using different criteria. For example they may searh for a 1 bed flat in NW^, or a 1 bed Flat in West Hampstead. By filling out all the fields, you will ensure that your property will be displayed, however the users wish to search for a property. 

"Properties" tab.  

The "Ad heading" field is how you would like your advertisement to start, i.e. "Stunning 2 bed flat in NW2". 

The "Type" field is the property type which you are advertising i.e. Apartment/Flat, Studio, or Detached House. Please ensure that if you are advertising a "Studio" you select "No Bedrooms" under the "extra fields" tab.

Please ensure you complete the fields "Town", "County" and "Postcode" as users may search using any of these criteri. This will ensure your advertisement is displayed however the user decides to search.

"Price" is the weekly rent you want for your property. 

The text field are for the body of your advertisement. this is where you can give the full description of your property, For example, "Lovely, newly decorated, first floor, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom flat in the heart of St. John's Wood. 3 minutes walk from the tube and bus. 2 minutes from St. John's Wood High Street. For more details, or to arrange a viewing call 020 7123 4567. Alternatively, email us by completeing the enquiery from below".

Please make sure you put your telephone number within the body of the ad. 

The "Notes" field is for your own records and will not appear in your advertisement.

"Extra fields" tab.

Again, please ensure you complete as much of this as possible, i.e. number of bedrooms, deposit requirement, whether the property is furnished, whether pets, smokers are welcome, what the rent includes etc. Again this will ensure your property is displayed, however users decide to search. 

"Publishing" tab

This allows you to select a start and finish date. 

Also when you have successfully rented your property you can go into your advertisement, and select "Unpublish". This will stop your advertisement from publishing.

When you have completed the form you can either "Save and insert photos", where you can insert images, or simply "Save", if you do not wish to insert images. 

My Profile

You can create your own profile, including inserting an image. 

"View my properties" 

You can view your properties as they appear on TheBigLet.com. 

"Manage my properties"

A list of all your properties will appear. You can then click on to a particular property, and amend or cancel it.
